Chip Shots

CHIP SHOTS

Below you will find buttons to the ‘Chip Shots’ Galleries on phart.art.  These photos are my pick of pictures written to a single 64 Gig chip (~850 pics).  One after another, each chip captures a never to be repeated moment of desert time.

These Galleries also ‘expose’ my aesthetic preferences (pun both deliberate and unavoidable).  You will find light, dark, and the nuances of luminescence are the heart of almost every picture’s core.  I hope you will find my preferences pleasing…and often cause you wonder how such light could ever be found on the desert floor under an unrestrained sun.

Each Chip Shot Gallery below has a representative photo with the Chip’s date.  Click on the date to go to that Gallery.

CHIP SHOTS

Below you will find buttons to the ‘Chip Shots’ Galleries on phart.art.  These photos are my pick of pictures written to a single 64 Gig chip (~850 pics).  One after another, each chip captures a never repeating window of desert time.

What the desert gives is entirely up to it.  No two years, two seasons, two weeks, or two days are ever the same.  These are pictures of what the desert offered at one singular moment.

These Galleries also ‘expose’ my aesthetic preferences (pun).  You will find light, dark, and the nuances of luminescence are my core.  I hope you will find my preferences pleasing…and cause you wonder how such light could ever be found in the blazing sun of the desert.

             GALLERY PAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Once you are on a Gallery’s page, click on any picture in the Gallery’s photo mosaic splashed below to enter the Lightbox mode. I have noticed some devices need time for the Gallery pictures to load.

Depending upon your device, you will be able to:

Make the picture fill your screen.  Activate the square button in the upper right of the screen.  PLEASE USE THIS!  Using mobile?  You can turn your phone to match the long side of the picture to fill the screen.

See a Title and/or a description of the picture when these exist.  Otherwise, my camera’s inscrutable alphanumeric filename might be displayed.

A Zoom tool.  Have fun, but remember, the website is limited to 1920×1280 jpegs, not the eye watering detail of the 8192 x 5464-pixel originals!
