Mountain Zen

PICTURE: MT. Peavine in the midst of an 80+ mph winter storm.  A break in the clouds cast this incredible lighting.

The mountains drew me here for my ‘retirement.’  I have lived many places in the U.S., from field to coast and farmland to megapolis, but never somewhere with a proper mountain view.

If you read the ‘Clouds get in Your Eyes’ Gallery description, you know that the mountains of my heart’s desire were promptly and unceremoniously dumped into a distant second place by the Clouds.

But mountains and clouds are the essence of the Sierras (except most of the long summer when there are weeks of boring, endless clear skies.)

Synergy is a beautiful thing.
