Ode to Ansel Adams

PICTURE:  Mount Rose summit.  This is one of the most remarkable likenesses of a human face seen in random geology.  Why Rose’s face has not been the one indelible icon for Reno, Nevada escapes me.

Long before I ever thought of becoming a photographer, I thought Ansel Adams’ Western landscapes elevated black and white to an art form.

In this Gallery I try to chase after the Master with my starter skills.  It’s a blast.

Above: The bloom of a Sacred Datura, the largest desert flower native to Nevada.
